This morning several Nissan LEAF owners have complained that they can no longer use the remote vehicle access via ‘CarWings’ Nissan’s vehicle telematics service. I too have had issues. Initially the CarWings service simply reported it was unable to communicate with the LEAF. Now the website itself is offline showing an error message

The issue seems to be more widespread that CarWings. The owners portal accessed from the primary nissanusa.com website is also having difficulties. This makes it impossible to get technical assistance via Nissan’s owners portal, where one would seek vehicle manuals, information and assistance regarding the LEAF and other vehicles. The error on the main ‘for woners’ portal is as follows.
Internal Server Error – Read

Google searches have provided no further information on the outage. I will provide updates here once the service status has changed or if Nissan issue a statement when they expect the service to resume normal operations.
Update: As of 2:45 Central on November 7th the owners portal appears to be operational again and communication with the LEAF is now operating again as it should.
Sounds like it was a server error.. Problems with the hosting website which hosts the Nissan website where all the data is accessed. Glad it’s resolved now.
Except in uk where I have been trying for weeks to access the website and always get error messages. This is also true for at least half of the Nissan.co.uk web addresses that google comes up with. How can a company this big and this “innovative” put on such a poor show? I got my new leaf and ii wanna play!
Anyone has the customer service email address to reach them, and address our questions ?
